Our Executive Team
STUART COLE – Director
Stuart is a seasoned technology ex ecutive having held respected roles like ex ecutive director of Telstra Corporation’s R&D Management and Investment subsidiary. Stuart has acted as CFO of two listed ASX companies and advised businesses on jurisdiction and structure selection, scale-up, technology commercialisation, intellectual property management, capital raising and board formation.
Stuart has institutional banking sector experiences in project / structured finance, asset finance, leveraged leasing, international debt syndications, corporate reconstructions, global credit, and M&A for some of Australia’s largest companies.
Previous experience also includes wholesale investment property funds management and venture capital fund investments.
KEN DEAYTON – Director
Ken is a Founder, Director, and CEO, Hong Kong Corporate Services. Ken Deayton is a CPA qualified in both Australia and Hong Kong, who has been practicing in Hong Kong since 1975.
His experience includes four years with the Hong Kong Inland Revenue Department, seven years as head office tax consultant with HSBC and fifteen years as a partner with Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu (Deloitte), where he had overall responsibility for the corporate services division.
When Ken retired from Deloitte in 2001, he established Asian Financial Services Limited, a boutique corporate services provider, which he subsequently sold to a major global service provider. Since then he has participated in the foundation of The Hong Kong Trust Company Group and is currently acting as CEO of Hong Kong Corporate Services.
WILLIAM ABBOTT – Adviser
Bill is a lawyer with over 40 years of experience specialising in Corporate and Commercial Law with a current emphasis on company acquisitions, structuring, mergers, reconstructions, capital raising, IP start ups and company exits.
Hailing from Southern NSW, the first 20 years of Bill’s practice was as a country lawyer dealing with all aspects of agricultural agreements, property transfers and succession planning.
Bill is a Consultant to HWL Ebsworth with expertise in estate and trusts, international business structuring, sales and purchases of businesses and fundraising for managed investment schemes. Bill has been an Executive Director of a range of public companies ranging from mining, mortgage origination, and intellectual property management through to money lending.
CAROLYN BUTLER – Director
Carolyn is founder and MD of International Fiduciaries Limited, an independent provider of professional services for clients looking for expansion and protection of international assets, wealth and succession planning, business and estate management and tax structuring.
Carolyn is a senior financial services executive with 30 years experience in international business development and management of a range of financial services companies including MD of AIA Pension and Trustee Company and MD of The Hong Kong Trust Company. She has deep experience in custodial/ escrow/security trustee services, collective investment scheme structures and administration, family and business trusts and succession vehicles.
Carolyn is a ex chair of the Hong Kong Trustees’ Association and has an MBA and Masters of Business Law.
